We have started shipping to the US, all EU countries and Canada!
If you ARE in the supported countries:
That long awaited moment is finally here! We are currently sending out emails in batches to all of the EU orders in the order they were placed. We should be through all European orders this week so if you do not get one by the end of the week, please email support@wakemate.com. Note: Most Canadian orders have not started shipping yet, but should begin next week!
If you are NOT in one of the supported countries, we have good news:
Right now, we cannot ship to you because we are not certified to do so in your particular country and we will not be certified for a while (months). However, we have partnered with http://www.opas.com/, a forwarding service that you can use to get your unit. They have offered our users a special deal of $25 off their service and you will not have to pay any additional taxes! We will be sending out an email with the details once we have everything finalized and in place.
New international Orders:
For the next week or two we will only be taking ‘backorders’ from international customers who want to purchase. These order should be shipped in about a week. Once all pre-orders are shipped, we will take the store off ‘backorder’ and allow orders for immediate fulfillment.

When you say you’ll send an email, is that to registered users or another list? Because if it’s registered users, it’s kinda hard to register when you’re in an unsupported country:P
Right now we have a lot of users who have already registered in countries that we do not ship to, so we will be sending the message to those users. Once everything is setup we will add functionality for different countries.

Why are you charging for handling? Thats not “free shipping”, which was the only reason I pre-ordered. After waiting for 16 months, it feels sleazy to pull that on us.
For everyone that didn’t get an email, but got one mistakenly earlier: Use the link in the old email, it works.
Ordered thursday and 24h later I got an email with Ordernumber (around #700) and suspected arrival date (13-15th of April).
Was a little dissapointed with the handeling charges as well, what is the difference between shipping and handeling? For those who are loyal after a 14 month delay with nearly no updates? But I didn’t care. For all those who live in country’s where on consumer purchases VAT is always included: Here it isn’t
I asked the guys @ Wakemate if they could adress if the issues are fixed. Is this a better version of the one that shipped earlier (batterylife, crashing apps / losing data)? Could be important for those who still have to decide.

Well I’ve got $13.6 for shipping & handling (via UK Royal Mail to Ireland) and the $10 VAT. What country’s VAT is that?

it would be very nice if someone from WakeMate can explain us why there is Handling & Shipping AND also VAT in our Invoices.
Also if this is a new version or the same which had problems with charging etc.

VAT 10$
But what about the 5 € i’ve paid by my pre order?

There is VAT because the units are shipped from the UK as described above. The $5 deposit was already refunded http://blog.wakemate.com/2010/08/06/paypal-refunds-complete/

Finally recieved my Wakemate after aaaages of waiting.
Really dissapointed to have recieved a product that doesnt work. Almost feel I have been conned!
I really do hope you address the above issues and creat fixes ASAP!

I finally received my wakemate today so I couldn’t try it yet while sleeping. But first thing I can tell is that the latest Android app (using a Samsung Galaxy Tab) crashes EVERYTIME I close or minimize the app! Doesn’t matter if I click on ‘exit’ or open the wakelytics link or even the home button of my phone. Hopefully, the app works at least until the alarm rings and the bug will be fixed very soon!

I (finally) got mine last week… in France… thanks…
I’m in Australia and I’ve just been charged $50 to ship this thing to me via OPAS. That’s on top of the $8 that you guys are charging. I was given no shipping options or shown any prices other than the ones I was charged by Wakemate and I put in all the details I was supposed to – what’s going on guys? So now I’m down $120 for what started out (in December 2009) as a $50 product.
