New Support Site

Monday, May 24th, 2010

We’ve just opened a new FAQ/discussion site for support issues at help.wakemate.com. We’re hoping this site will help answer some common questions as well as provide a public forum for questions and product suggestions. We’ve taken the opportunity to publish our phone compatibility table which answers perhaps the most common of all questions.

Let us know if this is helpful to you and what else we can do to improve!

Photo Op

Wednesday, May 19th, 2010

We apologize again for the extended silence. We’ve heard your complaints and as a first step towards better customer relations we’d like to show you a few things we’ve been working on, in photo form (for now).

First up, we’ve snapped a picture of our app running on our three main platforms–iPhone, Android, and Blackberry:

We’ll be showing videos of apps interacting with the phone in later posts; the iPhone in particular has some uniquely useful functionality. Next is a photo of our modest unit:

It may be small, but a lot of work went into building and programming it to work across multiple platforms. We’ll be writing about this subject in later posts, though. This is our locally-produced model and the next run will have a smaller form factor. Finally, an early screen shot of our analytics application (the overview page, to be specific):

We’ve still got a ways to go on this and lots of cool features planned. We’re iterating quickly and building things from optimal sleep planning to segmentation analysis. The version we have now functions well, but we plan to have much cooler stuff available when your get your WakeMate in July.

That’s all for today–hope you liked what you saw! Upcoming posts include:

  • Working demonstration video using the Blackberry app
  • Showcase of the new and improved wrist band
  • iPhone, Android, etc. demo videos
  • A look at Apple hardware authentication
